Truffle Farm Canberra Wedding / Lizzy and Matt

Truffle Farm Wedding Canberra

Lizzy and Matt’s spring wedding at The Truffle Farm, Canberra.

Situated on the rolling hills of Canberra’s Majura Valley, The Truffle Farm set the stage for Matt and Lizzy’s spring wedding. The Truffle Farm wasn’t just a picturesque backdrop; it was a place that held special meaning for Matt and Lizzy. After a truffle hunt experience there, they were completely smitten—with the oak trees, the views over Mount Majura Winery, the food, and the great welcoming hosts.

Matt and Lizzy’s love story began with a swipe right and a first date at King O’Malleys. A rained-out second date led to a cozy night in, where Matt whipped up a three-course meal—complete with homemade pizza dough from scratch. From that moment, their shared love of food and each other only grew. Their first trip together? A snow holiday with Matt’s folks that involved bunk beds, a snoring dad, and a fractured hip for Lizzy. “What a holiday,” she laughs.

On the morning of the wedding, the couple got ready separately at the tiny home perched on the hill overlooking the farm. Tucked away amongst the trees, the little cabin offered a peaceful moment to take it all in before the whirlwind began. It was also the scene of their first look and portrait sessions with their crew. Choosing to see each other pre-ceremony meant they could soak up the post-ceremony joy with their friends and family without missing a beat.

The wedding day itself wove together Chinese and Australian traditions and styling. Stylist Sweet Little Sunday brought the stunning, entire vision to life while Barton Flower Bar created florals that were romantic, and perfectly spring.

We snuck out during reception for a quick sunset portrait session and chance for Matt and Lizzy to have a breather and reconnect. We headed back up to the gorgeous hills at the Truffle Farm to catch the delicious golden hour light before heading back to join the party.

The Truffle Farm- a hidden gem in Majura Valley.

Tucked away in Canberra’s Majura Valley wine region, The Truffle Farm is known for its immersive truffle hunts and paddock-to-plate experiences. During truffle season, guests can follow truffle dogs through the oak groves, unearthing black gold before sitting down to feast on dishes infused with the day’s finds. The surrounding area is equally dreamy—rolling hills, cool-climate vineyards, and that crisp, high-country air that makes you want to slow down and soak it all in.

Wedding ceremonies and reception are held in large picturesque barn, as well as out on the paddock under towering eucalyptus.
